I Want More Meaningful Moments.

I'm pretty sure nobody wakes up hoping for a life that is simply busy. Deep down, I think we are all hoping for something else.
More laughter around the dinner table, more evenings that stretch long past the sunset. More adventure that begins with, "why not?"
I feel deep down, we are after more conversations that leave us feeling whole.
However, meaningful experiences don't tend to have an announcement, or seem to come from a plan. Then tend to arrive when we least expect them. More often than not, they begin quietly.
The last minute visit after work.
A neighbor drops by for coffee.
You take the scenic route home because that sun is too beautiful to ignore.
Having your dinner outside, even though its a regular Tuesday.
And somehow....these are the moments that stick with us. These are the experiences that seem to feed our soul with happiness. Because we were fully present in that moment. Let's create more of these moments in our lives.

Somewhere along the way, we have become experts at filling our calendars to the brim. Meeting, appointments, errands, notifications. We are constantly moving toward the next thing, quietly assuming that the meaningful moments will happen once life finally slows down.
The truth is, I've never looked back on my life and wished I'd answered one more email or crossed off one more task.
I remember the campfire conversation.
The coffee that turned into a two-hour catchup.
The impromtu road trips.
The meal where everyone lingered longer than expected because they didn't want it to end.
Those moments wern't expensive, they wern't perfect, they were simply lived. Collecting moments aren't about finding more time to do so, they are about noticing the opportunities that are already there and making them special.
Don't wait for special occasions, begin treating ordinary days as something worth celebrating.
When we look back years from now, we will remember how we spent our time. We will remember the people we laughed with. The places that we stopped to appreciate, the evenings that felt ordinary until they quietly became unforgettable.

Before you go...
This week, choose one moment to collect. It doesn't have to be big. It just has to be yours.
What moment from this week do you hope you'll remember a year from now?
