There are so many reasons to gather.

Somewhere along the way, it seems, we started to only celebrate special occasions and holidays. We saved our favorite recipes for company, our good dishes were brought out once a year, we told ourselves we would invite people over "when life is less busy."
But what if we have been waiting for the wrong things?
Some of the best gatherings begin with a last minute text with an impromptu invite. The neighbour who stops by and stays for dinner, the charcuterie that was built from whatever you had in the fridge.
Nothing fancy.
Nothing perfectly planned.
Just people choosing to spend some time together.

The truth is gathering isn't about the food, it's about creating a place where people feel welcome. It's about the laughter, the conversations, and realizing there is nowhere else you would rather be. Years from now, no one will remember if the napkins matched or the dessert was homemade. They will remember how they felt.
Perhaps, that is the real magic of gathering. Not celebrating something extraordinary, but deciding that an ordinary Tuesday is the perfect day to gather.
So here is your invitation.
Light the candle.
Open the bottle you have been saving.
Cook something simple.
Pull up another chair, because today is reason enough.

This week's Invitation
Invite one person over
No perfect menu, no spotless house, no special occasion.
Just an open door, a shared meal and a reminder that the simplest gatherings are often the ones we remember the most.
